JCmanager / LiveCaption

Live translated captions for worship.

LiveCaption listens to your microphone, transcribes and translates the sermon in about a second, and shows captions on the screen you choose — projector, TV or live stream. One computer and a microphone. Nothing else to install in the sanctuary.

No card required for the free hours. Windows and Mac.

Where it helps

One sermon, understood by everyone in the room.

Multilingual congregations, international members and guests, second-generation families, mission conferences and live-stream viewers.

13 languages

English, Korean, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog and more — choose the spoken language and the caption language.

About one second

Each sentence appears as soon as it's spoken. Same-language captions show exactly what was said, with recognition errors fixed.

Any screen

Captions overlay a projector, a TV or several monitors at once, or an OBS capture for your live stream.

Follows your manuscript

Load the sermon manuscript or slides (PDF, Word, text). When the preacher reads from it, captions follow its exact wording. The file stays on your computer.

Names and terms

Add names, places and key terms before the service for more accurate recognition. You can change them while live.

Pays only for captioning

Silence pauses automatically, so only time with captions actually running counts against your hours.

How to start

Captioning in a few minutes.

  2. Sign in with Google or email. Every account starts with 4 free hours.
  3. Choose your microphone, the spoken language, the caption language and the screen, then press Start. Feeding your sound board's output into the computer gives the best results.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do we need internet?

Yes. Recognition and translation run in the cloud, so a stable connection is required.

Which microphone should we use?

Any microphone that picks up the speaker clearly. Feeding your mixing console's output into the computer's audio input works best.

Can we adjust how captions look?

Yes — position, font size, number of lines, background opacity, and whether to show the original text.

What happens after the free hours?

The app lets you know. Press Subscribe, pay in your browser, and continue right away.
